Obituary for David Carroll Buffkin

Green Sea, South Carolina
Mr. David Carroll Buffkin, age 63, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. David was born on February 9, 1956 in Loris, SC, to the late Carroll Lester Buffkin and the late Queta Vae Sides Buffkin. David worked as site manager for SC Rock at the Goretown Mine and was a member of Grassy Bay Baptist Church. The family would especially like to thank Regency Hospice for all of their tremendous care and compassion.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Buffkin of the home; his son, Derek Buffkin and wife, Dana of Loris, SC; his brother, Steve Buffkin and wife, Terri of Loris, SC; his sister, Brenda Stevens and husband, Randall of Green Sea, SC; three grandchildren, Kale, Ashlyn, and Rori Buffkin all of Loris, SC.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Reverend Billy Phillips officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Grassy Bay Baptist Church at 3400 Bay View Drive, Green Sea, SC 29545.
